2025 City of Englewood, City of Greenwood Village, & E-470 Rain Barrel Workshops
Save money and protect water quality!!
You can save money by conserving water with a rain barrel at your home. Plus, rain barrels help protect water quality. Stormwater runoff can pick up debris, chemicals, dirt, pet wastes, and other pollutants and deposit them into waterbodies that we use for swimming, fishing, and drinking. Runoff from a rainstorm or snowmelt is not treated at a wastewater treatment facility. Reducing stormwater runoff through the use of rain barrels leads to less stormwater pollution.
SPLASH is pleased to offer several rain barrel workshops in 2025. The workshop and $60 registration fee will include a presentation on rain barrels and instructions on how to build your own rain barrel, a 55-gallon rain barrel, and connector kit. We will also provide you with an installation guide to help you connect your new rain barrel to a downspout.
You will need to be able to take home your rain barrel at the end of the workshop. Sorry, but we will not be able to store your rain barrel for pick up at a later date. We will only have enough barrels for those that register and will not be able to accommodate any walk-ins. Due to the popularity of these workshops and the long waiting list, please only register one person for one barrel per household.
Join us at one of our upcoming Rain Barrel Workshops!
